I KNEW that’d be the first question

What if I want something you don’t offer?

My style isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. I am K’enough. I am more than happy to connect you with a cookie person who does the cleaner, gorgeous, more traditional designs you are likely to see on #cookiesofinstagram :)

How do I know you won’t run off with my money after I pay, but before I get the cookies?

I mean, my bail bondsman trusts I’ll stay in the country, so I’m hoping you do too.

This seems like a really odd FAQ…

Yeah, again, just trying to get the website up so I can cross the “up” part off my list. I understand there is some major fine tuning to be done. Thank you for your patience. But, also, I feel like I’ve answered the “frequently” asked questions on the other pages. Any other question are not frequent. and therefore, do not apply to this page.

Why is it called Beach Cottage Baking? - you’re, like, 3 hours from the beach.

That’s a good question. I first started BCB when we lived four blocks from the beach. Admittedly, we are a little further away now. And, as my friend, Ema, said “beach is a state of mind”. It’s a stretch, but I’ll take it. Plus, I don’t want to lose the one super famous cookie person that’s currently following my IG by changing my business name.

How far in advance should I order?

I typically book 4-6 weeks in advance. HOWEVER.

I’m happy to take on last minute orders if I can. It’s the people pleaser in me.

How long will the cookies stay fresh and edible?

First, it’s important to note that “fresh” and “edible” are two different standards.

Cookies picked up in the bakery boxes will stay fresh (and edible) for a few days without special treatment. Simply store in a cool, dry place out of the sunlight (UV rays bleach the designs). A pantry or cabinet is perfect.

Do NOT store in the fridge. NO. No refrigerator.

Cookies that has been individually sealed and stored in a cool dry place will last about 10 days and still taste fresh.

Edible is a whole different story. I swear, members of my family and my daughter’s teenage friends will find cookies I’ve stashed away 4-6 weeks prior and will happily rip into them like beach seagulls. So far there have been no negative consequences.
